Your Student Senate brings you June’s SSAF Service of the Month: Student Careers and Employment.

The careers team is your go-to resource for free support and advice on anything job-related. The available services include on-campus events, scheduled appointments, development workshops, and the online CareerHub, which features heaps of resources and opportunities for professional development and job vacancies.

In addition to traditional résumé checks, the careers team can provide support to build your employability, including interview practice, career planning, graduate job applications and more. The services on offer from the friendly team are available to students at all campuses, including students studying online, with opportunities to video call or phone, as well as attend sessions on Moodle.

An exciting initiative from the careers service is the availability of the Industry Placement Program (IPP), which has grown from very successful beginnings at Gippsland and is now available at Ballarat. Did you also know that you can even access FedUni careers services up to two years after you finish your course, to keep you on track in your first couple of years out in the job market? And they can also help you join the professional network for your respective field with a Professional Associations Grant?

In addition to on-campus offices and their traditional contacts on the webpage, the careers team is also contactable on FacebookTwitter, and LinkedIn, so check them out and get in touch today.
